Meerkat is a small mammals, they live in barren land in southern Africa. A meerkat about 0.33 meters high, about 0.2 meters long tail and weighing about 1 kg. Such animals are usually solitary, when up to 40 to live together.
A group of meerkats is called a "mob", "gang" or "clan". A meerkat clan often contains about 20 meerkats, but some super-families have 50 or more members. Meerkats have an average life span of 12-14 years.
